Sainsbury's shoppers disgusted over 'vile' chocolate and carrot houmous

When Easter comes around, seeing supermarket shelves full of chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and delicious chocolate bunnies is nothing out of the ordinary.This year however, Sainsbury’s has taken things one step further and has divided shoppers thanks to the release of an unusual Easter treat.

Combining two of the season’s most iconic foods - cocoa and carrots - the supermarket giant is now selling chocolate flavoured houmous, much to the dismay of social media users.

After the product was shared on popular Facebook page Food Finds UK, the snack was slated by fans who weren’t too sure about the out-of-the-box snack.

The image showed the on-the-go product, which is part of the company’s ‘Easter Bunny Snacks’ range.The snack features a number of carrot sticks alongside a pot of chocolate houmous to dip them in.
