Rochdale MP Tony Lloyd is in hospital with coronavirus, the Labour Party has said. He's said to be in a 'stable' condition. Labour said he was being treated at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Mr Lloyd's family meanwhile said he was 'responding to treatment' and, in a statement, thanked the NHS for the care he is receiving.
No further information has been released. The Labour Party confirmed the news on Monday afternoon, saying Mr Lloyd 'has been hospitalised in Manchester Royal Infirmary with coronavirus'.
In a statement released through the party, his family said: "He is is stable and responding to the treatment and dedicated care that he is receiving from the brilliant doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff at the hospital." Mr Lloyd, 70,
