ROBERT LuPone has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer at 76. The TV veteran, who famously appeared on The Sopranos and in numerous Broadway shows, was the brother of famed actor Patti LuPone.
Born in Brooklyn, New Yorker LuPone graduated from The Juilliard School in 1968 with a degree in dance. That same year, he made his Broadway debut in Noel Coward's Sweet Potato.
LuPone appeared in a number of Broadway shows throughout his career, including the original production of A Chorus Line, for which he earned a Tony Award nomination.
His other Broadway credits include Minnie’s Boys, The Rothschilds, The Magic Show, A View from the Bridge, True West, and A Thousand Clowns, among others.
