Riot police storm homes in early hours and arrest two boys and man

Two teenage boys and a man have been arrested after drugs raids in Oldham. Police said the three - two boys aged 17 and a 58-year-old - were held 'in connection with the supply of prohibited drugs'.

All three remained in police custody for questioning on Friday morning. Greater Manchester Police said warrants were executed at dawn at several addresses in the town.

A haul of drugs was also seized in the strikes. In a statement, GMP said the raids came as part of Operation Vortex, a crime crackdown in Oldham.
