Paulina Alexis, set to star in the upcoming FX comedy Reservation Dogs, has signed with APA. The First Nations actress will appear in the series executive produced by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, which portrays four native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma.
Alexis also performed the role of April, a 14-year-old Mohawk troubled teen, in writer-director Tracey Deer’s 2020 feature Beans, a coming-of-age story about a 12-year-old Mohawk girl, played by Kiawentiio, who is forced to grow up fast during the true-life 1990 Indigenous uprising known as The Oka Crisis in Quebec.
That co-starring role in Beans was part of Alexis' career ambition to create positive impacts for her First Nations peoples and to guide.
