Remaining Covid travel restrictions could be scrapped in the UK ‘within days’, it has been reported. UK Government ministers are expected to discuss the future of passenger locator forms when they meet next week, according to the Daily Mail.

The forms were introduced during the early months of the pandemic to track where arrivals will stay during their time in the UK.

Officials are also considering dropping testing requirements for unvaccinated passengers.Any decision made by the UK Government would only apply for arrivals heading into England. However, the Scottish Government has largely followed its counterparts down south when it comes to drawing up its own Covid travel policies.

Current Covid travel rules in Scotland state that fully vaccinated passengers are not required to take any tests prior to travel.
