Prince Louis may have stolen the show at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations with his cheeky antics, but Prince George also commanded attention. The eight year old son of Prince William and Kate Middleton made several appearances with his family over the four-day weekend, where he was spotted having a whale of a time as he joined in when Sir Rod Stewart sang Sweet Caroline.

And over the course of the last few days, little George, who is third in line to the throne, has shown his "first shoots of leadership", according to a body language expert.

Judi James noted: "Louis might have been the scene-stealer, but George, phenomenally, seems to have grown up in front of our eyes over the four days of the Jubilee." Noting that he used to be shy in comparison to his siblings, Judi gushed about his appearance at the Party at the Palace event on Sunday.

She told The Mirror: "By today though, we could see a boy fully mirroring his father's confidence and even showing the first shoots of some leadership skills. "When the state coach rolled up to the royal box, it was George getting to his feet first and buttoning his jacket before urging his father to do the same." Judi also noted how George stood "proudly and solemnly" beside the Queen on the balcony before "throwing her a big beaming grin of warmth" when they enjoyed a conversation together.
