Brighton CEO Paul Barber insists that the season should be finished after the coronavirus suspension eventually ends and that Liverpool should have an opportunity to dethrone Manchester City as Premier League champions.
Jurgen Klopp's men are just two wins away from winning the league title and ending City's two-year run as champions but the Premier League has now been suspended until at least April 4 due to coronavirus fears.
Barber was on Football Focus and admitted that the future of the 2019/20 campaign remains uncertain, with another meeting set for this coming Thursday to discuss further plans.
He did, however, insist that the 'priority' is to play out the rest of the season - an outcome that would likely lead to Liverpool lifting
