Police offer concerned residents drop-in sessions to discuss recent ‘lurking’ scares

Police in Callander and Aberfoyle are to host drop-in surgeries for residents concerned by two recent incidents in which women were followed by men “lurking” at rural locations.Officer have been investigating a number of incidents across the area and say that enquiries are continuing.The first incident happened near Aberfoyle in October this year.

That was followed by a second incident in that area earlier this month.A third incident was reported in Callander at the weekend.Inspector Andy Bushell told the Observer: “We understand the concern of the local community following this incident but I can reassure them that additional patrols are continuing in the area whilst enquiries continue to trace the person involved.“Local officers are
