The end of life care team at Salford Royal Hospital are asking knitters to help create teddy bears to help comfort Covid-19 patients.

The teddies come as an identical pair and will be given both to the patient and their loved one. They represent a connection and sensory comfort and are often given to children who are going through a bereavement.

The Swan Team provides end of life care for patients at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group – which brings together Salford Royal, Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General and Rochdale Infirmary.
