Nurse who referred to patients as 'alkies' after falsifying their records allowed to return to work
Lancs Live reports. The NMC said that the incident took place at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs, North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, the Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. However, they did not specify the hospital where she was working at the time. The committee panel at the time said that "whilst there was no evidence of actual harm in this case, by not undertaking observations for patients but falsifying records to indicate that these had been done, Miss Worthington created a false picture of the physiological condition of these patients".Miss Worthington's suspension was initially overturned in June 2019.
