A24 and Plan B Entertainment are teaming again for “Wizards!,” the new film from acclaimed Australian writer and director David Michôd (“The King,” “Animal Kingdom”), which has Pete Davidson, Franz Rogowski, Naomi Scott and Sean Harris set to star, according to an individual with knowledge of the project.The screenplay is written by David Michôd, based on a story by Joel Edgerton and David Michôd.Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B Entertainment will produce the film alongside Liz Watts.“Wizards! centers on two hapless pothead beach-bar operators played by Davidson and Rogowski, who run into trouble when they stumble across stolen loot that they really should have just left alone.“Wizards!’ marks the fourth collaboration between A24 and Plan B Entertainment following films as “Moonlight,” “Minari” and “The Last Black Man” in San Francisco. This is Plan B Entertainment’s third collaboration with Michôd after “War Machine” and “The King.” “Wizards!” will also reteam Michôd and Watts with A24 for the first time since 2014’s “The Rover.” Watts recently joined See-Saw Films who she will be producing the film through.A24 will handle the global release of the film.“Wizards!” will be filmed in Queensland, with the support of AUD$3.6 million from the Morrison Government’s Location Incentive program and the Queensland Government via Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.Davidson is repped by ICM Partners, Scott is repped by WME and M88, Rogowski is repped by CAA and B-Side Management and Harris is repped by B-Side Management and Management 360.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has a cameo in upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi, according to reports.The Star Wars spin-off, set to be released on Disney+ on May 27, is set 10 years after events in 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith, where Kenobi witnessed his Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker turn to the dark side.According to Star Wars News Net, sources have said Flea, real name Michael Balzary, will make an appearance in the series in an unknown role.Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan Kenobi, recently teased in an interview with Hey U Guys that the show will feature “wonderful cameos”.“I think it’s one of the most thrilling additions to the Star Wars canon,” Friend said. “I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with that role that is a dream for fans of the original films… we can’t obviously have Alec Guinness back, but I just think Ewan was absolutely born to play that part.“But wonderful cameos from people I obviously can’t tell you, Easter eggs galore and… yeah, it’s a thrilling ride.”Flea has made numerous appearances in film and television over the years, including Back To The Future Part II, The Big Lebowski and minor voice roles in Pixar films Inside Out and Toy Story 4.He’s also set to appear in director Damien Chazelle’s (La La Land, Whiplash) upcoming film Babylon, starring alongside Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Tobey Maguire as Charlie Chaplin.

Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ has been shared.The clip, which you can view below, begins with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the titular Star Wars character on the sand dunes of Tatooine looking over a young Luke Skywalker before The Phantom Menace theme ‘Duel Of The Fates’ plays out.It goes on to show Obi-Wan’s new nemesis, Inquisitor Reva played by Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), who comes face to face with Skywalker’s Uncle Owen, played once again by Joel Edgerton.The trailer comes after new images for the series were shared earlier today (March 9).Obi-Wan Kenobi is set 10 years after the events of the 2005 Star Wars film Revenge Of The Sith, where Kenobi witnessed the downfall of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.“We find Obi-Wan at the beginning of our story rather broken, and faithless, and beaten, somewhat given up,” McGregor told Entertainment Weekly of the new series.The show’s director Deborah Chow added of Inquisitor Reva that the character is “ruthlessly ambitious”, while Ingram compared her to the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader.“They share a common dark-side goal.
