Penny Lancaster makes Loose Women return as she discusses Rod Stewart's pothole crusade

Penny Lancaster returned to Loose Women as a guest on Thursday, after quitting as a regular panellist in 2017.The model and TV star first joined the show in 2014 - shocking fans when she made the announcement that she would be stepping back from the ITV programme but promised to make a return as a guest.

On Thursday, the 52-year-old was true to her word and joined the panel alongside Christine Lampard, Judi Love, Nadia Sawalha and Sunetra Sarker.

During her appearance, the Loose Women discussed her recent tour with rockstar husband Rod - who she has been happily married to for over 20 years.The star also spoke about Rod and his hectic lifestyle as Penny fondly spoke of her husband, revealing that she believes they're a good team. "We bounce off each other's energy and he supports my jobs and roles that I take on, and vice versa."However, the Loose Women couldn't help but take a light-hearted aim at Rod's rather peculiar crusade.The star - who is affectionately nicknamed himself Rod's Pots - hit headlines in 2022 after he grabbed a shovel and assembled a crew to fill in the potholes near his Essex estate.

At the time, the spike-haired singer posted clips on Instagram of himself dressed in a yellow safety vest, filling in several potholes on his street with a shovel.He said proudly: "I'm repairing the street where I live because no one can be bothered to do it."During her appearance on the daytime show, Penny quipped: "I might start up my own company and have a van and go take care of as many potholes as I can.
