Passengers are continuing to face chaos on the rails this morning with the arrival of Storm Franklin. Both rail and tram bosses are asking the public to only travel if it’s absolutely necessary today.

Here’s what Transport for Greater Manchester advises travellers to do on Monday. “Disruption to travel and transport is expected until Monday, February 21, as Storm Franklin hits the Greater Manchester region,” a statement issued at 5.50pm said. “Currently, a severe flood warning is in place for East and West Didsbury and Northenden.
A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for rain and wind today. “High winds present the risk of debris being blown onto roads or tracks.
