'Our hearts ache every second' Granddaughter's emotional appeal to bring home missing Scots grandad

The heartbroken granddaughter of a missing Scots pensioner has said her heart is aching 'every second' as she made an emotional plea 16-weeks after his disappearance.

Paul Johnson, 74, disappeared from his home in St Andrews in Hepburn Gardens area on September 15, 2021 and hasn't made contact since.Granddaughter Caitlin Rose said the family are experiencing heartache every second of the day as she urged people to keep beloved grandad Paul in their New Year prayers.

In an emotional post Caitlin said she missed him "so much" and urged anyone with information to call 101. She wrote: "It might be a new year but unfortunately the sad reality is today marks 16 weeks since my grandad went missing."The heartache we experience every single second he is missing is something I never wish on anyone."I am urging anyone who could have any information to please contact 101."We are desperate to get him home.

I miss him so much. Please share and get our grandad, husband, dad and friend home."If not let your new year prayer be that he is found and other families in our situation find their loved ones too this year."Paul is described as being around 5ft 9in tall and of slim build with grey hair.He was last known to be wearing a blue rain jacket and light coloured walking trousers.Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0266 of 16 September 2021.
