Opticians surprise selfless Lanarkshire couple with special Christmas hamper

Staff at a Lanarkshire opticians surprised two customers with a Christmas hamper in recognition of the amazing work they do for the community.

Bob and Betsy Miller were given the fulsome gift, containing an array of speciality goods including handmade mince pies, British craft beers and Belgian chocolates, by Alison Grieve, retail director at the Airdrie and Coatbridge Specsavers stores.

The deserving Monklands couple had just called into their local opticians with a tray of chocolates for their favourite team as a Christmas thank you, before being surprised with the gift.
