Officers to patrol Fallowfield bars after five women report having drinks spiked

Detectives are investigating after five women reported having their drinks spiked in Fallowfield. Police believe women are being 'targeted" in the area and are stepping up patrols in the city's student heartland as a response.

The incidents involved five separate female victims and happened on three dates Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a statement issued today (Friday).

On Wednesday, September, 29, a woman reported that her drink had been spiked in a bar in Fallowfield the night before.
