Fair Day returned to Sydney’s Victoria Park on Sunday to kick off the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2022 season, after being cancelled last year due to COVID 19. The free all-day event featured performances, the popular Doggywood Pageant, specialty bars, and over 200 stalls from community, business, sports, political, government, religious and health groups.According to organisers, an estimated 35,000 people attended, making this one of the largest Fair Days on record. NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell is taking a victory lap for the decision to debut Trolls World Tour on premium VOD instead of waiting for cinemas to reopen post-coronavirus pandemic, saying it could herald a permanent change in how Universal Pictures releases its movies. Trolls World Tour racked up an estimated $100 million in on-demand rentals in its first three weeks of play in North America, more than enough to put the film on the road to profitability, according to the conglomerate.

With Wall Street judging a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing for AMC Theatres increasingly likely, B. Riley FBR analyst Eric Wold on Monday recommended investors sell off stock in the exhibition giant.

By late last week, more than 26,000 employees working for AMC Theatres were furloughed or let go as the circuit shuttered amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Wednesday, the largest cinema chain in the U.S.

AMC Theatres, the nation’s biggest cinema chain, furloughed its employees after the coronavirus outbreak forced movie theaters across the country to close. The action extends to every corporate AMC staff member, including chief executive officer Adam Aron.
