Nick Cave Donated a Pair of ‘Sparkly Socks’ to Help Save a U.K. Music Venue

Nick Cave will give the socks off his feet to save a music venue. No, really. The veteran Australian singer, songwriter and band leader has donated a pair of fetching Gucci socks to raise money for the Trinity, a 200-capacity space in Harrow, north London, which is facing an uncertain future.

Trinity needs help. It’s one of more than 400 grassroots music venues in the U.K. said to be at “imminent risk of being closed permanently,” according to the Music Venue Trust.

Enter Cave, the ARIA Hall of Fame-inducted frontman of the Bad Seeds, The Birthday Party, the Boys Next Door, Grinderman and more.
