New traffic restrictions are being introduced to a residential area of Salford following the construction of a new housing development.
Nightingale Gardens has been developed on the east and west sides of Hospital Road near Pendlebury and plans for new ‘no waiting at any times’ signs and 20 miles per hour zones are due to be implemented.
The Traffic Regulation Orders in the area have been reviewed to 'improve the new development and maintain safety'. The streets affected by the proposals are Hospital Road, Borchardt Drive, Liebert Drive, Holden Drive, Sillavan Close, Wrigley Avenue and Stancliffe Drive.
Following the formal consultations period, four objections were received, three of which opposed the proposed restrictions in the turning heads, and one to the restrictions as a whole.
