New disability benefit to replace PIP from next year involves no 'tests' during assessment

dailyrecord.co.ukAdult Disability Payment (ADP) is a new benefit set to be delivered by Social Security Scotland that will replace Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for Scottish claimants from next year.
The new benefit will provide additional financial support to people of working age across Scotland with a disability, long-term illness or mental health condition.
It will initially be piloted from spring 2022 before becoming available to all Scottish claimants in the summer. Scottish claimants who currently receive UK Government disability benefits, delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), will be transferred to the new devolved system in stages after the new benefits are introduced.
