Before last week, I was watching and as escapism—a respite from the relentless agony that's been 2020. But Joe Biden and Kamala Harris winning the 2020 election has instilled something in me I haven't felt in a while: joy.

Hope! Optimism! Pure happiness! So much so that Dash & Lily didn't just feel like a far-fetched romance story, but something that could actually happen to me.

Maybe in I too can start a relationship with a cute boy I never see but talk to via a notebook we leave all over New York City.
