Mum of four saves more than £100 every half term thanks to these £1 activity hacks

October half term will soon be upon us, with the majority of schools breaking up this week. Now that normal activities are becoming more readily available after years of coronavirus uncertainty, there will be plenty of families looking for trips and activities to entertain their kids.

Fortunately, keeping everyone happy doesn’t have to break the bank. Emma Farrell, 44, from Wrexham, North Wales, has managed to save over £100 during half-term breaks with her four kids.

She said: "I have been booking plenty of activities in advance to ensure there’s at least one to take the kids on each day. "I’ve been able to save over £100 by planning my schedule at least a week beforehand.
