businesswoman who took a gamble and resigned from her role as a national account manager to risk everything on a start-up card business has found that the risk paid off throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rebecca Kellett, 35, runs the online gift company, Porky Penguin, and throughout the last financial year turned over a whopping £1.3m with only five members of staff.
One of the special items that her team could not distribute enough was a Pocket Hug card made from a cherry wood with a personalised engraved message to loved ones such as grandparents, with the item striking a chord with people in a time in which physical contact was prohibited.
