Mum left blind for 15 years regains sight after doctors discover misdiagnosis

dailyrecord.co.ukA mum who hadn't seen her children's faces for well over a decade has gained her sight back after a simple procedure. Connie Park's vision gradually declined back in 2003, with doctors initially telling her she was suffering from detached retinas or glucoma.
She soon became blind and had no idea what her adult daughter looked like - or her eldest grandchild, who she last saw when they were just three weeks old.
However, the 59-year-old had been misdiagnosed - she actually had cataracts, a common vision issue in adults that can often be easily removed, according to the Mirror.
After being sent for an operation, the mum now has 20/20 vision in both eyes - and was able to see her family for the first time in 15 years.
