Killer barbecue gang including Glasgow man jailed for life but gunman still on the run

Five men including one from Glasgow have been jailed for life for the murder of a young businessman as he left a barbecue - but the gunman remains on the run.

Abdul Rahman Abubaker was killed as he rode a quad bike in a street shortly after a gathering in May, 2018, to mark the beginning of Muslim festival of Ramadan.

At Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, Shire Elmi from Glasgow was handed a life sentence along with Fahmi Daahir, Mustafa Omar, Shire Elmi, Abdirahman Dirie and Abdirahman Yusuf having previously been convicted of murder, perverting the course of justice and arson after a trial.
