Mum 'gobsmacked' over doctor's 'rude' response - but some say she's overreacting

One mum has told of her encounter with an 'extremely rude' doctor after she phoned up her GP surgery for some health advice.

She was experiencing some pains in her stomach that she thought may be related to her period problems, so decided to seek help and talk to a doctor.But she claims to have received a very abrupt response, and was told to call back another day and request a female doctor instead.

She posted about her experience on Mumsnet, saying it was more of a "vent" than anything else. The post reads: "In my GP practice you don't get a face to face, you get a phone call then a face to face if deemed necessary.
