Motorists risk £5,000 fine for simple mistake while driving in the dark

Nevertheless, the simple mistake of leaving your driveway without headlights on could land you with a hefty fine.About 40 per cent of accidents occur in the dark, according to the charity Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

Car leasing specialists Rivervale Leasing are urging motorists to remember to switch on their headlights when driving in the dark or risk a £5,000 fine and up to nine points on their license.
