A devastated mum will have to 'rebuild everything from scratch' on her 'low income wage' after her home was obliterated in an explosion.

Michelle Holmes, 44, from Warrington was tucking her two sons up in bed when her house became engulfed in flames during half term.

A chest freezer in her kitchen had exploded and rocked the house in the evening of October 25, reports the Liverpool Echo. And her sons, eight-year-old Jayden and seven-year-old Joe, were left without any clothes or belongings for their return to school.

The family are now living in a hotel provided by the council. Michelle's sister-in-law, Chloe Taylor, spoke about the devastation caused to the family home on Poplar Street.
