Supermarket giant Morrisons has apologised after a social media post about labelling on its packaging sparked a Brexit row on Twitter.
Its salt and pepper chicken crown (700g) was described as being 'made from British chicken and non-EU salt and pepper' on the front of its packaging.
The labelling, which is also visible on the supermarket's website, has been called "clear, blatant anti EU sentiment" by one Twitter user - while others have said they would boycott the business.
It was the reference to the product's 'non-EU salt and pepper' which started the debate, after Lee Williscroft-Ferris posted a photo of the labelling and said: "Tell me Morrisons that this is not real.
