Michael Beale has issued an apology to QPR over the manner of his departure after his short-lived spell in the Loftus Road hot-seat as the Rangers boss was officially unveiled as the club’s 18th permanent manager.
The 42-year-old spoke in the Blue Room at Ibrox where he was presented to the media at a press conference and was asked if fans in west London were right to have felt betrayed over him leaving after speaking of his loyalty, having rejected Premier League side Wolves.
Beale said: “At the time I spoke that was complete honesty. This came out of nowhere and I had a decision to make. This is an institution.
It's an opportunity I couldn't turn down and didn't want to turn down. I apologise to the people I disappointed down there. The feeling and relationship for this club.
