QPR chief executive Lee Hoos has opened up on Michael Beale's decision to leave his side so suddenly to join Rangers after vowing to stay just weeks before - admitting the process caused him to lose almost a stone in weight.
Beale joined QPR in the summer months from Aston Villa, where he was on the books as Steven Gerrard's assistant coach after moving from Rangers last November.
Joining the London-based side, he had dragged them to as high as first place in October before interest from Wolves came to the fore.
Turning Wolves down, Beale gave a speech about how he would not 'be the first one to jump the ship', though when Rangers came calling a month later, temptation was too much for the former Liverpool youth coach.
