Sporting director Ross Wilson insists the Rangers board will back Michael Beale in the January transfer window if the new boss wants additions.

Beale was officially unveiled as Gio van Bronckhorst's successor at Ibrox as he was paraded in front of the media for the first time since departing QPR and was flanked by Wilson and managing director Stewart Robertson.

After a disappointing Champions League campaign and mixed start to the Premiership, the Rangers support are keen to see moves made to add to Beale's squad next month.

Celtic hold a nine point lead at the top of the table, and Beale is keen to chase Ange Postecoglou's men down when the World Cup break is over and the campaign restarts against Hibs.
