Melanie Lynskey is opening up about her long history being on the recieving end of body shaming. Just last year, the Yellowjackets star called out fans who did just that to her through social media, and that was after she recalled that a crew member on the hit Showtime series suggested she lose weight.

Click inside to read more… Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in a feature on the Yellowjackets stars, Melanie opened up about her time filming Coyote Ugly in 2000, where there was even more pressure to be thin. “All the girls had this regimen they had to go on.
It was ridiculous,” she recalled. “I was already starving myself and as thin as I could possibly be for this body, and I was still a [size] four.” Melanie added that she had to wear Spanx in wardrobe fittings and was also on the receiving end of criticism about her body from the costume designers and people doing her makeup on the film’s set. “Just the feedback was constantly like, ‘You’re not beautiful.
