Mario Lopez is taking a break from his busy quarantine sex life to relaunch the legendary Latin boy band Menudo. The “Saved by the Bell” star and “Access Hollywood” host, 46, will executive produce a hourlong reality show looking for the next version of the iconic band.
Think “The X Factor” meets “Making the Band.” The reality show, not yet attached to a network, will be named after Menudo, which was formed in 1977 and disbanded in 2009.
Over the course of its run, Menudo made 35 albums that sold 60 million copies, and gave rise to some of Latin pop’s biggest stars, including Ricky Martin, 48, who was a member of the band (when he was between the ages of 12 and 17) before he began living “La Vida Loca.” There’s no word yet on whether
