Sunny and dry conditions are making a return to Greater Manchester this week. April was the sunniest on record, but the start of May was marked by rainy weather and unsettled conditions in the region.

However, sunny spells and significantly warmer temperatures will be back again from today. According to forecasters at the Met Office Tuesday morning will be breezy at first.

The windy weather will ease by the afternoon and sunny spells will then make an appearance. Any patchy cloud will also clear, with temperatures expected to reach highs of around 17C.

Overnight it will remain dry and clear into the early hours of the morning. Temperatures will dip under the clear skies to around 1C, while there could be some frosty patches in rural areas.
