Manchester United have said the episode Victor Lindelof experienced at Norwich is not linked to the Covid-19 outbreak at the club.
Lindelof appeared to struggle to breathe and had to be replaced by Eric Bailly in the 74th minute at Carrow Road. The United manager Ralf Rangnick said Lindelof's heart rate was higher than normal and the Swede was 'a little bit shocked'.
Rangnick added Lindelof appeared to be okay after he was examined by the club's medical staff and the 27-year-old underwent further tests on Sunday.
Lindelof's wife, Maja, wrote that her husband has been fitted with a heart monitor while United's first-team operations at their Carrington training complex are closed following an outbreak of Covid-19 among players and staff.
