FIFA are reportedly set to crack down on high earning agents with a new ruling which would see their fees capped at 10 per cent of the transfer fee and their earnings from the player's wage capped at three per cent.

This would spell trouble for super-agents such as Jonathan Barnett, Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola and as expected, they are all expected to mount a legal challenge against the ruling, according to reports by the BBC.

The supposed cap would come into place next season, however there is no clear date yet to when that will be. Its imminent arrival though could have the knock-on effect of speeding up the contract situation between Paul Pogba and Manchester United.
