A Manchester resident has become the first Briton to be handed a 'coronavirus injunction' after partying during national lockdown.

The unruly tenant was reported to the authorities by worried neighbours who could hear the rowdy gatherings of more than 20 people.

The housing association, Mosscare St Vincent’s, went to court on Friday to get the legal order preventing further disruption.

The tenant, who can't be named for legal reasons, lives on an estate in Manchester and was caught flouting social distancing guidance of keeping two metres apart and avoiding large gatherings of family and friends.
