Man taken to hospital after climbing on top of gas holder on Alan Turing Way

Manchester Evening News showed a person on top of gas works by the road. Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Tuesday morning, that police negotiators had managed to bring the male to safety at around 6pm.The man was taken to hospital following the incident, but is not believed to have been physically injured.Alan Turing Way between Bradford Road and Gibbon Street has since reopened.A spokesperson for GMP said: "A number of road closures were in place regarding the male on the Gas Holder at ATW."He was brought to safety just after 18.00pm with the help of police negotiators and taken to hospital.".
