A man has been taken to hospital for treatment to a hand injury amid reports of a midnight stabbing in Dundee. Police responded to calls of a 'disturbance' at Progress Way in the Hilltown area of the city at around 12.30am on Tuesday, February 1.A path which connects the housing estate and Alexander Street was then taped off by officers for investigation shortly after this.Witnesses reported that at least three men and one woman are believed to have been involved in an alleged stabbing.Residents of the area added that they heard screaming and shouting at the time of the incident and saw an ambulance at the scene.Police Scotland confirmed that a 38-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to a hand injury following the 'disturbance.' The cordon has since been removed but forensics officers were seen taking photographs at 9am as enquiries remain ongoing.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 00.30am on Tuesday, 1 February, to a report of a disturbance in the Progress Way area of Dundee."A 38-year-old man sustained a hand injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
