Emergency services rushed to the scene at Ainsdale Beach on Sunday evening after reports a rider had fallen of his quad bike.

Beach lifeguards were among the first to arrive at the scene as they administered "potentially life-saving first-aid" to the 34-year-old from Liverpool, The Liverpool Echo reports.
