Man found dead near Hyde bus station is named

A man who was found dead near Hyde Bus Station has been named as James Lowndes. Police cordoned off the depot, near to Clarendon Street, on Saturday morning (April 9).

Officers were initially called to reports of a concern for welfare. They found Mr Lowndes at the scene, who is believed to have suffered a medical episode.

A spokesperson for South Manchester Coroners' Court confirmed the coroner had received information in relation to Mr Lowndes' death.
