After three decades of entertaining TV audiences, Ant and Dec are arguably the most popular duo on TV. But while the cheeky Geordie pair, both aged 46, are well-known for their loveable on-screen chemistry on shows like Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway, on the odd occasion they've also come under the spotlight for less favourable reasons.

Perhaps the most memorable of which came in 2018, when Ant McPartlin pleaded guilty to drink-driving crashing in London. He was fined £86,000 and checked himself into rehab for the second time in two years.

But Ant battled his demons and returned to join Dec in fronting primetime hit TV shows and the pair continue to win awards for entertaining the nation's viewers.

Award blunder In 2005, the pair were wrongly named as the People's Choice winners, when it was the Catherine Tate Show which received the highest number of votes.TV regulator Ofcom imposed an £80,000 fine on ITV, Ant and Dec returned the award in 2008 and it was sent to Catherine Tate.The duo were said to be "completely appalled" by the error.
