Man, 47, hit by Ford Ranger truck dies after five emergency vehicles race to scene

A man has tragically died after he was hit by a Ford Ranger truck in Wigan last weekend. Police were called to Castle Hill Road in the Hindley area last Saturday (6 November) at around 9.30pm to reports of a collision between the vehicle and a pedestrian.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. The driver of the Ford Ranger remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries, GMP said.
