Man, 21, accused of murdering PCSO Julia James appears in court

Callum Wheeler is accused of killing the 53-year-old. Ms James was found dead in Akholt Wood, close to her home in Snowdown, Kent, on April 27.

Mr Wheeler, of Sunshine Corner Avenue, Aylesham, appeared via video link from HMP Belmarsh for a 12-minute hearing at Maidstone Crown Court this morning (Thursday).

Wearing a grey T-shirt, grey trousers and a black face-mask, he spoke only to confirm his name and that he could hear the judge.
