A federal judge temporarily blocked parts of New York state's new gun law in order to allow the Gun Owners of America to pursue a lawsuit challenging the legislation.  Chief Judge Glenn Suddaby of Northern District of New York state in Syracuse ruled that the Gun Owners of America (GOA) have a legitimate case for lawsuit against the new state law complicating the process to obtain a gun license. The decision will not go into effect for three days to allow the New York government to appeal Suddaby's ruling to a higher court.

Michaela Zee editor Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival GEMS has announced its line-up for its ninth annual event, with “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” set to open the festival on Nov. 3. The “Knives Out” sequel follows Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) as he travels to Greece to solve another murder mystery. Along with Craig, the cast includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Baustista. Miami Film Festival will honor the ensemble cast of “Glass Onion” with the inaugural Ensemble Award. Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans” will close out the festival on Nov. 10, with star Paul Dano virtually receiving the Precious Gem Award.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos might have celebrated their status as "empty nesters" after their youngest son, Joaquin Consuelos, went to college in 2021, but they've already lost the title. The pair had been vocal about adjusting to their life post-kids, but on Wednesday's, Ripa revealed that they're no longer the only ones in their home. «We were kind of empty nesters and then my mom had heart surgery,» Ripa, 52, explained. «So now we're living with my parents. Kelly Osbourne is looking at food differently and said she will never 'eat the same again' after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The 37-year-old star, who is expecting her first child, a son, with partner Sid Wilson, 45, revealed that she was recently diagnosed with the condition in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.  The reality star explained she had previously tested negative for the condition, but then 'I had terrible terrible, terrible heartburn, acid reflux, my feet were swelling, and I was having rapid weight gain, and I was like, "I don't understand this, I'm not eating enough to make this add up, what's happening?"'A trip to the doctor and a second test for gestational diabetes confirmed the condition.

In addition, Naketha Mattocks has joined Universal Television (UTV) as senior vice president of drama development.
