High street giant M&S has found itself in hot water with some shoppers after sharing an important update about its checkouts.
Posting on social media, the retailer updated shoppers on what it is doing for the people in Ukraine to help support them while at war with Russia.
As part of its efforts, M&S will now allow shoppers to donate to Ukraine at the checkout. The Marks and Spencer Facebook post read: "We want to do everything we can to support the children and families of Ukraine. "We are donating £500,000 to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
We are donating 20,000 items of winter clothing that families need. "We have allocated £500,000 to support UNICEF through matched colleague fundraising and double Sparks donations.
