Darwin Nunez is on Liverpool’s transfer shortlist amid reports linking the Benfica striker with a move to Manchester United.
Nunez is being heavily linked with a move away from Portugal after enjoying an outstanding season. The Uruguay international bagged 34 goals in 41 appearances during the 2021/22 campaign, leading to plenty of interest ahead of the transfer window.
United are among the clubs to have been linked with a potential move. They'll be in the market for new forwards this summer, with Edinson Cavani’s departure leaving Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s only recognised number nine. According to the Liverpool Echo, the 22-year-old is one of a number of forwards being assessed by the Anfield outfit as they prepare for life without Sadio Mane.
