The Uruguayan striker was in fine form over in Portugal this season, scoring 34 goals in just 41 appearances. Nunez managed to leave a lasting impression on Erik ten Hag in the Champions League having scored the goal that knocked Ajax out of the competition.
Reports from Portugal point towards United being a likely option for the 22-year-old. They claim Benfica are looking to sell the striker to help fund their plans in the transfer window. However, Pizzi, who plays alongside Nunez at Benfica, has already advised the youngster on where he should head next. Speaking to Inside Sport last year, the midfielder said: "He is very young, with a lot of quality and very fast, he is a player to be reckoned with in the best teams in the world, but now he has to be focused on Benfica.
